Twin Farms, Barnard, Vermont
“Our first time at this fabulous resort. We stayed in the Barn Cottage and were delighted by every aspect of our visit. Breathtaking grounds, gourmet meals, unique dining experiences, top–notch wines. It is expensive but really worth the price! We have gone to many of the ‘best boutiques’ list, including Little Palm and Blackberry Farm and found Twin Farms to be in a whole other category.”

The Wakaya Club, Fiji
“Bora Bora is boring boring. Tahiti is even worse. Both seem to have become honeymoon destinations where, since the guests are otherwise ‘distracted,’ little attention is paid to space, food, ambience or really much of anything. Both destinations have really slipped over the past 20 years. So go to The Wakaya Club in Fiji and enjoy.”

Amanpuri, Phuket, Thailand
“We have stayed at some great resorts in the past year (Four Seasons Paris, Sandy Lane, Twin Farms and Post Ranch Inn, to name a few) and the service at Amanpuri was second to none.”

The Balmoral, Edinburgh, Scotland
“I believe The Balmoral went above and beyond what Andrew Harper describes. Immediately upon our arrival, it seemed as though every staff member knew our names. Bar and food service was excellent, and food quality was quite good. This would be a repeat should we return to Edinburgh.”

Jade Mountain, St. Lucia
“The accommodations are spectacular. The infinity pools are amazing. The view spills through the room. Unfortunately, so do the mosquitoes.”

What's Hot, What's Not

HALEKULANI(Honolulu, HI)Despite the surrounding “commercialism,” this is still “by far the best on Waikiki,” with “fine rooms and facilities.” And La Mer is a restaurant that is “altogether beyond praise,“ with waiters who are “knowledgeable, pleasant and unobtrusive.”
