Cheetah in Tanzania

What to Reserve Right Now

The world's most impressive wildlife spectacle is the congregation of the wildebeest in the southern section of Tanzania’s Serengeti Game Reserve from January to March each year. However, millions of other people have watched those National Geographic specials, and it can be extremely difficult to secure accommodations during the critical period. If you delay much beyond June, it could become impossible.

The best way to see the migration is from a private tented camp (at a cost of approximately $4,950 a night for a group of six people). The alternative is Sanctuary Kusini, an ideally located camp of just 12 spacious tents. At the time of writing, limited space is still available. The Andrew Harper Travel Office will be happy to help you make arrangements. But for a trip in 2013, I urge you not to delay.

Autumn in the Adirondacks

See New England in Fall

Any fall foliage plans should be made as soon as possible. Andrew Harper's hideaway hotel recommendations in the area have relatively few rooms, and autumn weekends will sell out far in advance.

Napa Valley, California

Experience the Wine Harvest

It is wonderful to visit wine regions during harvest season, when the grapes swell on the vine and the leaves have just started to change color. The Napa and Sonoma valleys inevitably sell out for September and October, and choice restaurant reservations can be even more difficult to secure at the last minute.

Chateau de Bagnols, Beaujolais

Visit a European Château

Europe also glows during September and October, when the fruits of the harvest grace restaurant tables across the continent. In wine regions such as Tuscany, Burgundy and Bordeaux, the best small châteaux and villas book up early.

Carlisle bay, Antigua

Flee From Winter's Chill

We receive countless calls about winter holiday travel in September and October. However, by then, it's too late to secure accommodations at the leading beach resorts. To ensure that you're not caught in the cold, start making plans for Christmas and New Year's now.

Our ability to create dream travel experiences is limited only by your imagination. Contact the Andrew Harper Travel Office today at (800) 375-4685, (630) 734-4610 or Reservations@AndrewHarper.com.
