As improbable as it may sound, it’s still possible to secure tickets to the presidential inauguration on January 21, as well as grandstand seats for the inaugural parade and entry to the official Inaugural Ball, which President Obama plans to attend.
Together with our travel partner Inside Sports, Andrew Harper can arrange for tickets to this historic event. Upgrades to seats for the swearing-in ceremony — even those in the sections closest to the front — can also be purchased.
An inauguration experience wouldn’t be complete without attending a grand inaugural ball. Although many parties will celebrate the event, the president and first lady plan to attend only two. You will have tickets to one of these very exclusive balls: The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) official Inaugural Ball. This lavish party will include complimentary catered food, top-shelf open bar service and live entertainment (in 2009, stars such as Beyoncé, Kanye West, Marc Anthony, Jay-Z, Faith Hill, Shakira and Alicia Keys performed).
Accommodations are not included in the package, but many fine hotels have availability for the inauguration dates as of this posting.
The package costs $2,500 per person, which includes standing-room tickets for the swearing-in ceremony, grandstand seats for the inaugural parade and entry to the PIC official Inaugural Ball. Upgrades to seats for the swearing-in ceremony can be purchased for an additional $2,000 to $10,000 per person, depending on the location of the seats.
