Hillside resort sloping down to a secluded beach near the port of Quepos. The upper tier comprises a main pavilion, a spa and most of the 38 comfortable lodgings; a free-form pool offers memorable views. The remaining rooms are at beach level, along with a casual restaurant and a smaller pool. Recommended are the Ocean Breeze Suites, and for families, Ocean View Premium Suites. Rain forest excursions, kayaking, whitewater rafting, surfing, horseback riding and guided walks through Manuel Antonio National Park.

We have gone to Villas del Mar 3 times. We love it. A perfect place for families.

we would recommend arenas del mar to anyone. the beach was great - sandy, lots of shade, lounge chairs, & great body surfing. the food was delicious & the waiters and staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. Nearby manuel antonio park was quite crowded, but nonetheless teeming with wildlife. our room had an incredible ocean view, jacuzzi on the deck, and was very comfortable. zip-lining with our guide andres was a blast!
