Recently renovated 61-room South Beach hotel in a comparatively tranquil location on Ocean Drive at 14th Street. Standard rooms are small; Classic Suites are bright and quiet, with snug white marble baths. Excellent restaurant, BLT Steak; also small pool and rooftop “wellness garden.” Service is prompt and cordial.

This is a nice alternative Ocean Drive to Tides, which tends to get pretty noisy at night. Get a suite, though, as the regular rooms are pretty small.

At the very least stop by for lunch or dinner, as BLT Steak restaurant is great. The spicy tuna sandwich is notably awesome.

And the rooftop is great for R and R.
