Smartly styled contemporary boutique hotel on a scenic point overlooking Walker Bay and two attractive beaches, 90 minutes southeast of Cape Town. Well-chosen antiques and decorative artifacts embellish the inviting glass-walled living and dining area. Of the 11 refined studio suites with lavish baths, Room #1 affords especially striking ocean views; otherwise, request Superior Room #5, #6 or #8, or Luxury Room #2, #3 or #7. Fine fusion cuisine, a panoramic seaside infinity pool and a separate two-tiered courtyard pool add to the pleasure of a stay, as do spa treatments, a fitness gym, nearby mountain trails and breathtaking cliff walks. Southern right whales frequent the bay from May to December. No children under age 12.
