We stayed at Blanket Bay for four days in mid-March. It was a wonderful property - as fine as any I have ever visited. The staff are always helpful but never intrusive. Since it's a bit out of the way, breakfast and dinner are included. The meals were well-prepared, with a menu changing nightly - a real plus when you're there several days. The night sky was breathtaking with no ambient city lights to dilute the view. The staff helped with all aspects of the visit - arranging helicopter flights, appointments with local artists, etc.
I was disappointed to see that the lodge is not included in the 2010 Alliance book I received last week. I don't know whose decision this was, but it certainly shouldn't have been Harper's.
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about Blanket Bay, and we are very glad to hear that you had such a great experience at the lodge.
We would love to have Blanket Bay be a part of the Harper Alliance at any time, and we hope that they will indeed join the Alliance sometime soon!
Best Regards,
The Travel Office
