Magnificently restored medieval château set among vineyards in the quiet Beaujolais countryside, 45 minutes northwest of Lyon. The spectacular 13th-century structure displays conical towers, dry moats and a drawbridge entrance. The main château and courtyard annex feature 21 guest quarters with period furniture, tapestries and fabrics, as well as original 15th-century wall paintings. Baronial salons are embellished with carved Renaissance fireplaces and exquisite frescoes. Formal restaurant, plus summer outdoor dining. Large outdoor heated pool; nearby tennis and golf. This is an extraordinary country château, overseen by a charming staff fostering a cozy and relaxing ambience.

We recently spend 4 nights living like a duke and duchess at this authentically restored castle. To us, this is one of the prettiest areas of France and the views from our room were like Cezanne landscapes.
