This grand luxury 244-room hotel in a landmark 1928 building near the Champs-Elysées is lavishly decorated with crystal chandeliers, 17th-century tapestries, Louis XVI-style furniture, wonderful antiques, paintings and objets d’art. Premier Rooms are spacious (500 square feet or more) and provide king or twin beds, desks, comfortable seating and marble baths with soaking tubs and separate showers. Upper-floor rooms, many with private terraces, overlook the courtyard and the city skyline. The two-star Le Cinq restaurant serves the refined classic cuisine of chef Eric Briffard. An elaborate health and fitness spa offers private treatment rooms; a VIP room with a whirlpool, sauna, steam bath and two massage beds; and an indoor pool ringed with trompe l’oeil murals of the gardens of Versailles.
