The Home Ranch

This stylish 14-room ranch is located in a scenic 7,200-foot alpine meadow on 4,000 acres near Steamboat Springs. Eight Summer Cabins vary in size from one to three bedrooms (some have lofts suitable for children) and are appointed with antique furniture, Native American rugs, down comforters, woodburning stoves and hot tubs. Chef Clyde Nelson serves sophisticated cuisine at long communal tables and bakes his own bread and pastries daily. In summer, activities include horseback riding, fly-fishing for trout on three miles of the Elk River, and guided wilderness hiking. In winter, guests enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and sleigh rides. Heated outdoor pool; supervised children’s programs with counselors available daily.
