We expected something special. It wasn't. Room and service were just OK.
That was our experience at Teatro as well. We were a bit disappointed. Staff well-meaning but poorly trained.
I spent two overnights at Hotel Teatro in February.Hotel Teatro is a small and elegant boutique hotel in downtown Denver, great location to venture around the city on foot or you can take hotel's courtesy car around the town, a really nice touch.Room is well-appointed but a bit small. On my first night, I got a petite king room with bunch of generators right ouside my window. I can pretty much sleep through anything when I'm tired so that really didn't bother me much at night but it was pretty annoying during the day when I was trying to work. I asked the front desk if a better room category is available for my 2nd night and got an upgrade to a corner room. The corner room I got is a bit larger than the petite room, but pretty much the same layout. The room faced the street side, but there's a Four Seasons construction right across the street from Hotel Teatro, and I can see everything going on in that to-be Four Seasons building, so I bet the future Four Seasons guests can see me in the corner room too, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this idea. The FS construction building kept their lights on all night, and even though there was no one in that building during my stay, it really bothered me.However, Hotel Teatro offers some really nice amenities in the room (ex. complimentary bottle Fiji water, Frette bathrobe, Aveda toilettires, marble bathrom) etc, turndown chocolate is yummy.Got some really nice service and some ok service throughout my stay. Concierge team has been amazing too, and of course the bell team.Ordered room service one night and food is good, but you have to try Restaurant Kevin Taylor on the first floor, definitely the best in Denver.Overall it was a ok stay, I didn't check other rooms but might come back if the rooms in the back are better than the rooms facing the streets/future FS or the generators.
Hotel Teatro was not an Andrew Harper hotel when I booked it so I cannot comment on the current benefits
Thanks for the review - we were going to stay there next month but will not due to construction!
