I have read your review of Coquillade in the latest hideaway report. I spent 5 nights here in October with clients, and I experienced immense difficulties with the staff and the service at the front desk. The restaurants were excellent, but the level of service in the gourmet restaurant was mediocre and if you're a group of 8 or more, the dining area on the mezzanine lacks the same character as the main dining room (the breakfast area is separated by an accordion shade). The hotel is also planning a major expansion to double its rooms, so the visual charm may be compromised, as the plan is to add additional meeting facilities. I sense their commitment is to larger corporate functions and clientele.
