Does anyone know if renovations at Little Nell are complete? Their website says they will reopen December 1st. Has anyone seen it?
I just came back from my stay at The Little Nell, and it was truly amazing. It was my first stay with The Little Nell, so I cannot compare the decor before/after the renovation, but the renovation is now complete.I have to say I'm not a fan of their new modern and stiff design by Helen Hunt, it just doesn't feel very "Colorado", but still comfortable.Service is absolutely top notch, all staffs are genuine and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about their concierge, courtesy car service and ski concierge.I also spent a few nights at the St. Regis, and The Little Nell definitely beats St. Regis, better location, better service, and for the same price, my room at The Little Nell is two times the size of the one at St. Regis. I can't wait to go back to The Little Nell next winter.
My husband and I returned to the Little Nell for four days in late January. I agree with the other reviewer that the redecorated rooms are not that attractive - decor is very modern and monochromatic. The room had only one night stand for the bed, which was inconvenient, and the sofa was very uncomfortable. All electronics, HVAC, and lighting could be controlled from the TV, which took a little getting used to but worked well. The service was very good, especially the ski concierge, and the restaurant was excellent. We did have an issue with the front desk regarding a Harper room upgrade; they would not do it although rooms were available. I have asked the Harper office to research.
