The Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge

Classic 19th-century parochial house converted to a country house hotel/culinary retreat by chef-owner Dan Mullane. Set on 10 hilltop acres overlooking a rural village in a tranquil region 18 miles south of Limerick, the property offers 16 period- style rooms, plus a pair of two-bedroom annex suites, all with views of the countryside or gardens. Lodgings contain an appealing mix of period furniture, art and other treasures collected by the owner on his travels. In the garden, a former schoolhouse holds a sauna and a small exercise room.
