Five-star wilderness and fishing lodge set along an unspoiled forested shoreline, across the Queen Charlotte Strait from the northern tip of Vancouver Island. Nine comfortable, two-bedroom pine-paneled waterfront chalets complement a dining room serving notable cuisine. Fishing for Pacific salmon, wild rainbow/cutthroat trout and Dolly Varden char in pristine bays and rivers reached via the resort’s private helicopters. Helicopter adventure programs for non-anglers include visits to deserted beaches, glacier/alpine trekking, cave explorations, whale-/wildlife-viewing excursions, kayaking and river rafting. Two large, waterfall-backed hot tubs and massage treatments round out the amenities. The lodge is accessed via a 25-minute helicopter flight from Port Hardy Airport, located at the north end of Vancouver Island.
