I stayed there in a casita a few years ago and loved it. I booked a casita last year, but they moved me to a standard room in the newer wing, which has very unromantic Marriott-style basic hotel rooms, because they said the casitas were full from people overstaying their reservation. That wasn't my problem, and I was very disappointed with the service. If you go, insist on a casita, and hope they honor your reservation.

The Royal Palms went above and beyond my expectations and I will be staying there again. My casita was beautiful and quiet, the staff was friendly and the food delicious.
