Charming, extensively renovated hotel in the heart of the Village, with a Bavarian façade and traditional alpine chalet décor. The 127 rooms and suites are relatively simple, with plain white walls, expanses of rough paneling and pairs of antlers above gas log fireplaces. Many have balconies with French doors, the most desirable being those on the back of the hotel overlooking Gore Creek. Baths, though smallish, offer double vanities, separate showers, whirlpool tubs and heated marble floors. A lively bar leads to Ludwig’s, which serves fine contemporary American food; other dining available in alpine, Western and clubhouse venues.
