Remarkable property dominated by a grand sweep of immense floor-to-ceiling windows offering an extraordinary view across Lago Sarmiento to 8,760-foot Monte Almirante Nieto and the granite monoliths of the Cordillera del Paine. Constructed almost entirely from the lovely native lenga wood, the great room seamlessly unites a sitting area containing a circular fireplace with a bar and a dining space. The 40 guest rooms (including three duplex suites) display the same aesthetic and contain simple but handsome furniture that imparts a Shaker-like elegance to their interiors. Picture windows afford the same stunning view as that from the main lounge. The Uma Spa features an indoor swimming pool with jets and cascades, an outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath and meditation areas. Superb service throughout; excellent guides for excursions.

Three-night package in Double Room for two, from $3,900; Suite for two, from $5,200.

Standard Inclusions:

Rates include taxes, all meals, house wines and liquors, non-alcoholic beverages, daily excursions and spa access. For stays of three nights or longer, rates also include twice daily transfers to/from Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and Cerro Castillo as per published times.  A once daily transfer to/from El Calafate, Argentina is available at an additional cost.

These published rates, in US dollars, serve only as a guideline for travel planning and may vary based on season, currency exchange rates and other factors. Your stay right after New Years was during a period we had service issues that are not typical, as pointed out by yourself and other guests who stayed during this time. We have hired additional wait and bar staff as well as developed additional training methods to correct these issues and make sure our level of guest attention is representative of a 5 star hotel. We are happy you would recommend Tierra to others and that you enjoyed the architecture and location. We recently returned from a wonderful trip to Chile. We stayed at the Tierra Patagonia, as well as the Singular Patagonia. While Tierra Patagonia is spectacular in terms of its architecture and location, I am really surprised to see Andrew Harper give this hotel such high marks. The service is nowhere near the level of most Harper-recommended properties. This is a common complaint about the hotel, as you will read on Tripadvisor. While we would recommend the hotel to others, we would do so with the caveat that the service is not up to par, nor is the food. The Singular Hotel, however, is an excellent hotel with very polished service and fabulous food.
