I thought I would update the discussion on this hotel which does not appear to be the topic of a forum entry in a while. I recently stayed three nights and found the lodging side of the house (in contrast to the dining) excellent. Overall the physical facility and room amenities were very nice. Each of the service personnel ( including manager, housekeepers and porters)were gracious, eager and sincere in their assistance. We were upgraded from a deluxe to a junior suite and found the room very comfortable, nicely maintained and well appointed. The common rooms were also nicely maintained, and were arranged and decorated in good taste; inviting and not so formal as to be off putting in the event you wish to lounge in public. A very well run, well maintained and attractive country hotel/inn.
The food service experience was otherwise but thankfully there are many alternative dining choices in the area.
