Scenes From Miami: Luxury Resorts and Historic Landmarks

The beach and front lawn, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Miami - Troy Campbell

We headed back to Miami during one of its biggest events of the year, Miami Art Week, to review luxury hotels, enjoy great restaurants and take in our fair share of contemporary art. In this video, you’ll see footage of EAST Miami, which opened in 2016 in Brickell, Miami’s oldest neighborhood, plus two hotels we reevaluated: Faena Hotel Miami Beach in Mid-Beach and Acqualina Resort & Residences in Sunny Isles. Both lived up to our expectations. While in Miami, we visited three historic properties as well: a late-19th-century home at the Barnacle Historic State Park (and tried to imagine what it was like there before roads were built), a dazzling Mediterranean villa at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens and the opulent lobby of The Biltmore in Coral Gables. You can read our full reviews of luxury Miami hotels here.
