In the 1990s, husband and wife David Page and Barbara Shinn owned a beloved Manhattan restaurant, Home, on Cornelia Street. After a while, however, they decided to forsake the demands of the city and to construct a new life on the North Fork. There, they now make wine at Shinn Estate Vineyards near Mattituck, especially Merlot blends and a very engaging Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon blend.
