Barcelona's Best-Known Flea Market

Barcelona’s best-known flea market, Mercat dels Encants, recently moved to a striking new open-air pavilion overlooking the Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes. To be sure, there are gems and junk, but explore the big hall on the side of the market for an amazing array of vintage furniture.

However, don’t even think of purchasing here unless you’re knowledgeable, alert-eyed and accustomed to driving a hard bargain. If you fit that description, you may find a real treasure for prices way below those found in London, Paris, Brussels and other major European cities. Check the website before setting out to verify the latest opening hours.

Mercat dels Encants
Carrer de los Castillejos 158. Tel. (34) 93-246-3030
