J.Crew Partners With David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust | Garments for Good

As a global travel company, we believe it is important support brands and companies that are going above and beyond the expected and are giving back to important causes. This is the first post in a new series entitled "Do Goods." Do Goods will explore market finds, global brands and products (or "goods") that we come across in our daily life and in our travels that are giving back to meaningful causes.

J.Crew has recently partnered with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in their Garments for Good line which directly supports nonprofits around the world. This particular partnership stood out because we are active supporters of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (read about our foster elephant, Jasiri here). With this line of elephant t-shirts and sweatshirts, 100% of net profits are given to the foundation. It is great to know that our clothing purchases give back to wildlife and habitat conservation!

Here are five elephant-friendly products you can buy right now at jcrew.com.

About the Products and Partnership from J.Crew

Garments for Good: Founded in 1977, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust rescues and protects orphaned elephants and rhinos in East Africa from ivory poaching and extinction. To date, they've successfully rescued, hand-raised and rehabilitated over 150 elephant orphans before reintegrating them back into the wild. In their honor, we teamed up with Brooklyn-based artist Hugo Guinness to create this limited-edition sweatshirt, featuring an illustration of our friend Edie the elephant. An adventurous (and slightly rebellious) teenager, Edie was rescued by DSWT back in 1999 when she was just four months old. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the sale of this sweatshirt will be donated to the trust.
