Our Review of Abu Camp:

Distinctive Abu Camp known as the preeminent place to ride African elephants, set on a 450,000-acre private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Overlooking a tranquil lagoon and shaded by hardwood trees, six elegant and individually decorated accommodations are idiosyncratic structures that are part tent, part cabin. Splendid baths provide walk-in showers; glass doors open onto decks with copper soaking tubs; also attractive elevated sundecks. Lavish contemporary African public areas include a library and an adjoining communications center; secluded swimming pool and gym. Exceptional cuisine. Large game species are common at Abu Camp; the birdlife is prolific, and guests may ride on, or walk with, the camp’s trained herd of elephant.
