Our Review of Banyan Tree Ringha:
Secluded resort on a grassy plateau at 10,800 feet. Fifteen one-bedroom suites, 11 two-bedroom lodges and six spa suites are contained within a series of traditional Tibetan farmhouses, which were moved to the site and converted into stylish lodgings. Spacious interiors in rich shades of red and gold feature Tibetan art and crafts, intricate woodcarvings, central fireplaces with hammered copper flues, latticed windows, baths with handcrafted wooden soaking tubs, and balconies with views of Ringha Valley and the Shu Du Gang River. Two restaurants serve Yunnan cuisine and Tibetan/Western dishes; also inviting teahouse. Diversions include a spa, tours of nearby villages and monasteries, and trekking adventures.
