Our Review of Casa de Mita:

Casa de Mita is a charming oceanside villa-style inn on a deserted mile-long beach, 40 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. Eight air-conditioned quarters have handcarved furniture, original artwork and floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading to oceanview palm thatch-covered balconies; baths offer large open showers with handpainted ceramic Talavera tiles or natural stone mosaics. Indoor/outdoor dining room with a menu, changed daily, that emphasizes local ingredients. Amenities at Casa de Mita include an outdoor saltwater swimming pool and sundeck with canopy daybeds, plus a bar, workout area and yoga and massage suites. Horseback riding, tennis, whale-watching, deep-sea fishing and nearby golf courses. No children under age 16.
