Our Review of The Swag:

The Swag is a high-country sanctuary on a 5,000-foot ridge overlooking Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Fourteen distinctive guest quarters occupy the main building, individual cabins and adjacent annex, many outfitted with quilts, rock fireplaces, steam showers/whirlpool baths and scenic decks/balconies. Exposed beams, timber planking and assorted Appalachian crafts accent the central lodge’s cathedral lounge, elegantly rustic dining room and library. Outdoor hot tub, sauna and broad porch providing glorious mountain views. Miles of woodland paths, plus the national park’s vast network of hiking trails. On-site cooking school and massage therapy room. No alcohol sold on property; guests allowed to bring their own. The Swag is seasonally closed from December to end of April.
