Our company is growing, and we’re looking for talented developers to help build new initiatives for the luxury travel industry. This is an opportunity to learn, contribute, and gain hands-on experience working as a web developer.

As an intern, you will:

  • Work on new exciting features with a high customer impact
  • Strengthen current infrastructure
  • Brainstorm solutions to engineering problems
  • Work in a collaborative, Agile environment

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge with web development and object oriented design

Travel Advisor (Austin)

Andrew Harper is currently looking for a Travel Advisor to join our company in our Austin office. At Andrew Harper we provide the highest level of personalized and exceptional travel service to our members and other clients of Andrew Harper Travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound calls from members, qualifying client needs to include transportation, accommodations, travel dates and budgetary requirements. Provide the highest quality of customer service on every call.
  • Provide recommendations for hotels and recommended properties as appropriate to the client’s itinerary/travel requirements and process reservations in a timely manner. Suggest upgrades and additional services when appropriate.
  • Create and cost full blown itineraries as per the client’s requests. Coordinate and forward appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
  • Follow-up with the client within 1 day of the initial phone call, even if only to touch base and advise that his/her request is still being researched.
  • Process cancellations immediately upon notification from the client to avoid penalties.
  • Resolve client complaints/concerns in a timely manner, referring matters of a serious nature to Customer Service.
  • Build lasting client relationships to create loyalty to the Andrew Harper brand.
  • Participate in inspection tours and familiarization travel as requested by the V.P. or Associate Director of Travel Services. Attend industry functions as required.
  • Actively participate in travel industry certification programs and webinars to enhance your destination knowledge.
  • Promote teamwork and provide assistance to co-workers as required. Perform all job related duties in a positive and productive manner.
  • Assist with related duties, special projects and other assignments as required.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Solid geographical knowledge of worldwide destinations; personal and/or professional travel experience a plus.
  • Ability to design cost and effectively sell interesting and creative itineraries.
  • PC proficiency to include Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. GDS proficiency – Apollo or Sabre preferred
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent time management skills, attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to creatively solve client problems and/or concerns

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in the travel industry or hospitality related business
  • Bachelor degree preferred

Marketing Intern (Austin)

Andrew Harper is looking to hire a part-time intern to join our Marketing Department. We are looking for a bright and energetic individual with a self-starter attitude, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Ideal candidate would possess a demonstrated interest in digital marketing, excellent organization and strong oral and written communication skills. A passion or interest in travel is a plus. As a Marketing Intern, you will work on a variety of marketing projects including emails, lead generation, website initiatives, public relations, audience development and travel promotion. Some of the core responsibilities of the role will be assisting with the implementation, production and quality assurance of our marketing projects.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills, and have demonstrated a strong ability as a collaborator, and team builder
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with all levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and with high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop preferred (full Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus)

Part-Time Accounts Receivable Administrator (Austin)

Andrew Harper is currently looking for a Part-Time Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their Accounting team in their downtown Austin office. The Part Time AR Administrator will provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of outstanding travel commissions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly AR cash receipts activity and tie back to cash received for the month.
  • Responsible for tracking and posting accounts receivable for the Travel office into TRAMS Back office
  • Post refunds, adjustments and other account actions.
  • Research No Records, Previous pay, Non commission invoices and all invoice discrepancies
  • Compile all Duplicate commission payments to be processed for AP and give to Intern to complete
  • Backup on preparing bank deposits for US and Foreign checks daily and weekly
  • Any additional projects for Accounting/Finance team

Requirements:

  • 1 year office administration experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently.
  • Able to meet monthly deadlines.
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong organization skills
